Diodes ★ (poem)

Liquefied magnets,
You and I.
Our crimson cores,
neon scarlet magma.

The distance between us,
a needle’s eye width—
even with oversized ocean betwixt
and ceaseless cerebral racket
that ceases only when eyes meet
and double-lock.

A kiss,
a canny collision.
Sultry fingertips
to arched bare back,
goosebumped neck
slowly strum up,
run to my quivering lipsticked lips.
Palm cups mouth,
muffles melody in form of moans.
I’m your acoustic guitar.

We are electrical currents
hand-in-hand
to-the-stars-and-beyond-bound.

*Diodes: a semiconductor device with two terminals, typically allowing the flow of current in one direction only.
