I want to be your Atlas, so I can
chisel away at “alas,” and grant you
relief from worries of the past.
I want to create a globe out
of those woes
to carry on my shoulders—
just for a moment.
Just so you can exhale the words:
“At last.”

*In Greek Mythology, Atlas led the Titans in battle against Zeus. As a result, he was punished by Zeus and had to hold up the world on his back.
And something odd I’d like to share… Upon finishing this poem and finding an Atlas picture to post… Guess what I ended up seeing on my WordPress Reader? A post all about Atlas along with a photo. Poetic synchronicity much? 🙂

Thank you so much! I’ve honestly had a lot of strange synchronicities involving Atlas as of late. And here’s another to add on the list. 🙂 I would be honored if you did that. Thank you! ❤ This just made my night, as I am a fan of your blog. 😀

Leave Me Some Love!
Kind of sounds strange
Love comes as a whole
And not in parts
You could have it all
I could have it all
It is not a myth
That is the truth
Believe me
Love as a whole
Not in parts.
