Belonging ♥ (poem)

in the past, when i found love, i put her
in my pocket or in a heart locket.

now, i hold her–not too tightly and allow
her to dwell amongst the stars.

love is never kept. love–the true kind
was never meant to be a belonging,
if anything a longing & a sense of belonging.

love is infinite like sky–
when did you ever see walls or
ceilings or cages in outerspace?
