Free Spirit | Ελεύθερη Ψυχή ♥ (poem | ποίημα )

Spend your life’s entirety
what thoughts
others think
about you & your doings—
both unjust & just
& the only Present
you’ll ever know of
is an empty box
in the form of your
own ribcage.

Spend your life’s entirety
putting dreams & goals
into motion & if that cage
of ribs is ever empty—
it’s because you
can never cage the heart.
And you know that now,
because you’ve found
that free spirit you always

Translation in Greek:

Ελεύθερη Ψυχή

Αφιέρωσε την ολόκληρη ζωή σου
στης σκέψεις τον αλλονών
Και το μόνο δώρο που θα έχεις
είναι ένα άδειο κιβώτιο—
Ένα θώρακα χωρίς καρδιά.

Αφιέρωσε μια ζωή να ζήσεις
τα όνειρα σου και αν ο θώρακας
σου είναι άδειος ακόμη, θα ξέρεις
πως η καρδιές μας πετούν απο τα
κλουβιά τους όταν ζεις για τον εαυτό

Πάντα ήσουν μια ελεύθερη ψυχή—
Αυτό ποτε να μην το ξεχάσεις.

    of ribs is ever empty—
    it’s because you
    can never cage the heart.” – I have not heard this put in this way for a while. You always seem to make me return to the qualities I might overlook while living the daily life.
