I said nay to your much-too-clothed state
as we sat on the edge of the hotel canopy bed.
I said yea to your tall tower penetrating my stratosphere
as my bare right leg brushed against your left
and fingertips tap-tapped on your belt buckle.
You said (nothing)
then removed all your barriers non-dermic–
starting with that black leather belt.
You pounced on me like a cosmic lion that night;
You never told me you were a shape-shifter…
